Announcing the Release of Women in Pediatrics: The Past, Present and Future

We’re thrilled to share the release of an inspiring and unique pediatrics book. Women in Pediatrics: The Past, Present and Future, featuring I-PASS Co-Founders Dr. Amy Starmer as a chapter contributor and Dr. Nancy Spector as a co-editor, shines a new light on the field of pediatrics. Despite women holding a large majority in pediatrics, there are still barriers and inequities, and this book aims to address the problem head-on while providing actionable solutions. Guided by experts in the field, Women in Pediatrics reflects on the early days of being a woman in the pediatric care setting, the gender equity gaps plaguing the specialty, and best practices healthcare institutions can implement to better support the health and well-being of women in the field.
